10 trends at the IFA Berlin – GQ.com

Berlin – The IFA 2015, the largest exhibition of consumer electronics in the Old Continent, is in full swing and halls are besieged by hundreds of thousands of visitors. And we are already able to draw a top 10 trends that, we are sure, will characterize this year (read: Christmas) and all the technology in 2016.

1) televisions HDR

The acronym stands for high dinamic range , and so far the only booze in photographs: indicates an image with a range of colors and shades wider. In the market for television, now given for granted the 4K resolution (of which still patiently await the contents), is looking even more the perfection of the image. So now many manufacturers, including the big Sony, Samsung, LG, launched here the new models with built-in HDR.

2) Invasion of smartwatch

In the wake of Apple Long Watch, smart watches are flourishing. Huawei unveiled its Watch, which in Italy will cost 399 Euros and will be compatible with the iPhone.

Lenovo after the acquisition of Motorola, launched here in Berlin the second version of the Moto 360, in two sizes, while Samsung has the Gear S2 with proprietary operating system Tizen. 3) Home security

More and more kits to control their home through the phone. It takes one or more webcams connected in wi-fi (there are of all shapes and functions) and an app that controls and alerts you if there are any suspicious movements. The most fun? It’s called Petcube and is dedicated to dogs and cats. In addition to keeping an eye on your animals when you’re not at home, you can interact with them by making your voice heard or to have them play with a laser pointer.

4) The colored appliances

They had already begun with the refrigerators, but this year, the department “white” of the show is an explosion of colors. There are ovens, microwave, dishwasher, large and small appliances of all shades. And it was time: so we can finally match the machine to the bathroom tiles.

5) the vintage W

Ok, it’s not really new. But this time more than ever seen turntables, speakers, and even TVs with retro look. Even the historical brands seem to enjoy a new youth.

6) Food processor

7) The high-resolution audio

8) Return of video games

In the past editions of the fair seemed to have disappeared, this year the videogame players are back: we are talking about PC pompatissimi (like the new Acer Predator), high-resolution monitor, and mouse to the appropriate game with a look that rivals the spaceships of Star Trek .

9) More and more wearable

After the boom of 2015 (and perhaps already in 2014), the phenomenon of wearable gadget is most present at IFA and will grow again in 2016. 10) coffee capsules
