Novelties and gadgets of CES 2016 – The Post

Start today l ‘ 2016 edition of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the most important exhibition of technology products organized every year in North America and one of the most important in the world. The fair is held in Los Angeles, California, United States. The ETUC exists in various forms for almost fifty years: the first edition was held in 1967 and since then has always been exploited by technology companies – large and small – to show their new products and to present concepts and prototypes of various kinds, But often there are only these and not end up on the market. The fair is organized in the exhibition giant with hundreds of stands, where fans, experts, journalists and investors watch the main news. Some large companies at CES also organized a series of conferences and shows with presentations of various kinds: some years are mainly oriental companies to do so, such as Samsung and Sony, while other Westerners as Microsoft have gradually smarcate from CES, preferring the ‘ organizing separate events during the year to get more attention from the press.

In the days before the official opening of CES, most of the exhibitors already beginning to show their products, with previews of various types. As is the case for some years now, the most interesting topic and discussed is related to electric cars and that one day you will drive alone. Faraday Future, a company founded recently and where there is much talk for a suggested (but unlikely) involvement of Apple, showed FFZERO1, an electric concept car that can reach 320 kilometers per hour and you need to demonstrate progress and capacity of this type of cars. Ford has instead shown a new sensor that will serve to ensure that the vehicles are to guide yourself, interpreting the information collected on their surroundings. Volkswagen, still dealing with the scandal tied to its diesel engines rigged, presented its own electric concept car, but there are no plans yet very clear about its commitment in the field of electric cars at lower costs of current and therefore more accessible .

Among other innovations, Sony presented the latest developments of its vision for virtual reality, a type of helmet that can be worn to make video games more realistic and immersive. Other companies also showed similar systems, in some cases related to augmented reality, that is, the possibility of inserting in a real context virtual objects to interact with. As is the case for some years, at CES we were also presented several new drones, the ones to make the aerial checking them with a wireless connection. Parrot, one of the most famous manufacturers of drones, gave a preview of Disco, which unlike the conventional, four-rotor is designed as a miniature airplane: the nose has a camera for filming. The CES 2016 will run until Jan. 9 with a series of events and the arrival of new exhibitors, many of the products shown will go on sale later this year.
