The new year 2014 will be characterized by social applications.

In 2013, young people have not exactly set aside Facebook, even if they start a little ‘to hate him, but they looked around and landed on new social networks, including Google Plus and Twitter, where the number of users has grown greatly. The young people were well on Facebook until their parents have not learned to use it, and then work out what, their children, were unknown to them on the web. Now that Facebook is more or less in the hands of everyone, young people begin to look for another place to take refuge from their parents, as evidenced by the rise of Instagram and even messaging applications, among which Snapchat, WhatsApp, Line, WeChat.

In 2014, young people armed with smartphones continue to influence the market trends of social networking and instant messaging applications, with the field of ‘furniture’ that will win the PC market.

Here are five things that you can expect as part of the social in the coming year:

1. Disposable is the new multi-purpose
The mobile phone is no longer needed only to call or send text messages, and that we have learned by now. The analyst Jeremy Liew of Lightspeed Venture Partners said that the phone has a screen with direct access to 20 applications on average. This allows, with a single smartphone, you have access to more services, even at the same time. That’s why something that was once Disposable is becoming multipurpose, thanks to a whole range of different applications that allow you to do what you want.

On the phone you have, for example, Snapchat or WhatsApp for messaging, then there’s Facebook or Twitter for social shares, the shares of Instagram for photos, Vine to share short videos, Wanelo Poshmark for shopping and social and so on and so forth.

“In each of these cases, users have an enjoyable user experience,” said Liew . “Because it’s fun, people use it a lot.”

“It ‘s shocking how quickly [app] can go out and have a base of 20 million, 30 million active users a lot in a very short time”
– Peter Pham, Science

Similarly, the use of social networks will become a big trend in 2014, according to Peter Pham, a partner of Science . Think of dating sites that make it easier for people to find their soul mate or just new friends according to their interests. The social Web is intended for large groups, but there is space to help people even sun, Pham said. These trends will force all-in-one companies such as Google and Facebook to rethink the way we do business, which could lead to a competition increasingly impressive as they fight to build or acquire the next big thing in the social market.

2. The Privacy Officer will return?
will grow applications and services that enable people to chat privately. For this category, we can already consider Snapchat, which today processes more than 400 million photos and videos in private messages exchanged every day.

And just when you thought that the ‘anonymous Web’ was now a thing of the past, the success of a series of applications such as Snapchat are showing that young people do not want their digital identity always corresponds to everything they see and they do on the Internet. This suggests a Whisper, an app to make public confessions publicly in anonymity, or Rando, a smartphone application for sharing photos with strangers.

Whisper, for example, has millions of users, 90 percent of whom are aged between 18 and 24 years, and now has 3 billion page views per month, as confirmed by CEO Michael Heyward. The average user opens the app 10 times a day, he said.

People are looking for fun and new opportunities for anonymity out of that which is their daily life.

“AND ‘steady decrease in the age at which people begin to get their first cell phone, already aged 11 to 12 years.”
– Peter Pham, Science

3. Changing the world with a swipe
It is becoming increasingly evident that we live in a kind of world where convenience trumps everything else. We no longer have time or energy to complete the profiles, write long and complex answers, or even in isolated cases, just think. We just want to click a button and see that everything changes automatically.

The craze to do great things with the touch of a finger is what we all dream of, and in part already is very possible today in this respect. We can already make use of applications and services that save time, such as Uber, which allows you to take a car to come and pick us up in a few minutes, avoiding long waits for reservations and taxi stations. There are apps that were even allowed to see each other in the home to deliver Christmas trees, ice cream and even pets, all at the touch of a finger.

social context, however, easier does not always equate to something better.

4. The videos do not take the place of the photo, or almost
Services like Instagram Vine and improve the use and sharing beautiful moments of life that we want to remember, and short video messages Snapchat will be just one of many ways in which in 2014 will be able to show more than a simple picture can represent.

“The photos and videos are fundamental to this moment,” , writes cnet. “And the younger you are, the more you want to express yourself with pictures rather than words,” he added. And when a picture is not enough, here’s the video into action. “I think that face all of us the idea that if something is happening and it’s fun you want to be able to remember it, relive it or show it to people who were not there with us” , writes the site . “And with high-resolution cameras in our hands, we can now do it.”

5. From ‘zero to hero’ in record time
Thanks to the ubiquity of smartphones and functionality of services like Facebook, the rate at which social applications will spread to hundreds of millions of users that will only accelerate . In 2013, the messaging applications such as WhatsApp, Line, and Kik have all been shown to be redefined as something in a short time can get into the hands of everyone. In a few days, a few hours, even the simplest game can end up with hundreds of millions of active players.

“For me it is shocking to see something like that coming out can get to have a base of 20 million, 30 million users are very active,” said Peter Pham. “The difference is that the last two years the whole social world has moved on mobile devices … and it is in constant decrease the age at which people begin to get their first cell phone, since the 11 and 12 years. “

The best part of this phenomenon “zero to hero” is that 2014 will be full of surprises in the social field, which no one could have predicted.

Iphone bugged by NSA, Apple denies - TGCOM

00:22 – The new cards of Edward Snowden – proved once again by the German weekly Der Spiegel – time to pull the ball Apple. The powerful National Security Agency (NSA) would in fact be able to “spy” on the iPhone via software included in the hugely popular smartphone. Dry the denial of the house of Cupertino: “Apple has never worked with the NSA to create a secret access to their software products.”

The fashion of intelligent glasses after the idea was designed by Google is becoming increasingly popular among many devices and check MetaPro. The occhiai are being designed and should be available by July 2014 at a price of about $ 3,000. The terminal is just a simple pair of glasses, it is therefore necessary to use it with a mini PC with an Intel i5-board (it is not specified on the model) and well-4GB of RAM. One flaw is that the connection between the glasses and the mini PC is via a cable, but the hope of the experts is that it is only for an initial phase that with the evolution of the project is discarded.
