LUGANO – it is a new exciting season for the company Navigazione Lago di Lugano, the one that will start in a few days: the recovery of the tradition with innovation, through gastronomy to five stars. The news also affect the boats: first the Watchtower project, starring the eponymous ship of 1908, the subject of a restructuring that will soon become a means forefront. As explained by the young engineer nautical Mattia Carrucciu, the historical hull was added a Futuristic electric propulsion system with solar panels, which guarantees zero impact. It has recently been restored to its former splendor motorboat Milan with a restoration that has reclaimed its original furnishings of 1927.
it starts this Saturday, March 19, with an unprecedented opening day in style, that will feature six boats, anchored boat station to the city center. From 10 am to 3 am there will be activities for all tastes and all ages, from tastings of typical products for children (and others), the film about the history of navigation to the point information to discover new places of our territory. The day will culminate with a concert by Sebalter to 20.30, on a raft anchored among the boats, followed by Karma Krew. For night owls, there will also be the boat party “Heineken Fluo Party” with departures at 23 and 1. Everything is free except for catering and evening social.
Addition to opening day, at a press conference today also other novelties were presented, starting with the revival of gastronomy, this year entrusted to the youth of God Giacomo managers and Catharina Schwarze (coming from the hotel Garden of Minusio), that with the Lugano Galley project intend to bring the catering on all nine boats, focusing on local products and quality. Of note is the opportunity to dine at 19 on the docked boat before they leave the evening cruises.
