Two giant screens to get carried away by the magic of images created by a great artist, and 4 touch-screen to allow children to get distracted and give vent to creativity while waiting to undergo a visit or examination. They are called ‘The windows of dreams’ and debut on March 20 at the pediatric hospital Meyer in Florence . Like a colorful kaleidoscope – explain by the Florentine hospital – you can admire the parade of animals that populate the fictional circus Meyer, as well as snow capped mountains, desert sunsets and beaches bathed by crystal clear waters , and yet the mystery of the underwater world , the poetry of a flower blooming or a butterfly flying . recreational and educational moments, thanks to letters to dial into words.

To accompany their children in this journey will be Arturo, a great character that will teach children how to use the interactive touch-screen on the sides of the video installation, inviting them to the game and transforming them from spectators to protagonists. Their imagination can indulge themselves by combining various objects, some of which were taken from paintings by great painters like Miro, the Douanier Rousseau and Duccio. And with a label to be affixed on the end result, each work produced by the children will be ‘signed’ and titled; It can be sent as an e-card by e-mail or shared on social networks or uploaded online in the ‘Art Gallery of Meyer’ . The art exhibition is part of a project supported by the Meyer Foundation, as part of the humanization initiatives and reception in hospital.

“The Meyer – states Alberto Zanobini , General Manager – wants to be much more than a children’s hospital: a cohesive community around the right to health of children and girls. In the spring, we have the joy to inaugurate a great work of contemporary art, which has also the ambition to engage children as active subjects of artistic expression. Organisational innovation and technological innovation can be effectively achieved only if it is carried out in parallel a

“A window of dreams because the thoughts of the child, characterized by the concern to be entered in the hospital, they can also be tinged with carefree moments – stresses Gianpaolo Donzelli , President of the Meyer Foundation – This is the sense of the realized project by the Foundation, to match the global vision that the Meyer to take care from the first moment when the child enters the hospital. “
