Barco Loki is the Ultra HD projector with laser source / phosphors and HDR – HDblog (Blog)

Barco has announced a new projector home of high-end . The novelty (previously presented as pre-series at ISE 2016) is called Loki and is presented with a high level of technological equipment. The optical engine is Optix-based architecture with a combination of aspherical glass and other low-dispersion. The heart of Loki is constituted by the DLP technology: it is, for the accuracy, of the DMD from 0.9 “to resolution Ultra HD .

The light source is constituted by a hybrid laser / phosphors , which guarantees a longer life and higher performance stability. the brightness is remarkable: in the standard version is able to provide 8,500 lumens , while a second version (you should use a different color wheel) allows you to reach the 12,000 lumens . Other features include the inputs HDMI 2.0a HDCP 2.2 and support to technology HDR .
