Robots, drones and 3D printers on show at the fair of the future – The Small

 TRIESTE Drones, robots, 3D printers, the best of software and electronics, curious inventions, extravagant, original and extremely useful. All dedicated to technology and innovation. Welcome to the ingenuity and creativity festival. Or, if you prefer, welcome to the future. Building on the success of the first two editions, is ready to shoot out of the starting blocks the third episode of “Trieste Mini Maker Faire”, staged May 20 to 22 in the proven framework of ICTP campus, the International Centre for Theoretical Physics Miramare. Yesterday, in the City Hall marriages the presentation of the event, which showcases the most juicy news: the first “Science Picnic Trieste,” that is to say a whole day (that of Friday, May 20) completely dedicated to schools of all and grade, a novelty in Italy, with the campus ready to turn into an open-air laboratory, where students together with their teachers, will participate in interactive experiments, performances, scientific meetings tended to be science communicators and researchers, in order to bring the youngest in the world of science, technology and research.

  
 The event starts from large aggregated numbers in the last edition, when it was registered the presence of more than 300 makers, stand 100 and well 17 thousand visitors. Numbers that the organizers intend to repeat and even surpass, since this year are expected to more than 400 inventors not only from Trieste, but from the region, from the Triveneto and from abroad, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria in the lead. “For some time the city administration believes and has invested on the technology front – he explained when presenting the vicesindaca Fabiana Martini -.  The event, organized by ICTP and Municipality, with the support of the Region and the Province and the Sissa collaboration, Universities, Area Science Park, and The Small as the official media partner, will develop over two days to input free and with extended hours, during which visitors will be able to deal with the inventors, which will provide the public their secrets. It starts Saturday, May 21 from 11 to 21, and closes Sunday 22 from 10 to 17. As mentioned, the tasty drink will be that of the day Friday, all dedicated to the students, with hours from 9 to 16.

 Of bizarre inventions there will be something for everyone. They range from an endless stream of robots and technological constructions assembled for many different uses, up to 4 meters high printer that can give life to homes and other street furniture “scale” made of clay, in the context of a eco-sustainable project. And for the little ones an interactive tunnel where you can have fun in the midst of the LHC particle accelerator, which gave rise to the discovery of the “Higgs Boson”. “The idea is to bring the world of science in the midst of the community – have highlighted the event’s creators, Enrique Canessa and Carlo Fonda -. One way to appreciate and share the inventions also the same families, from grandfather to grandson, of our region and beyond. ” To promote the influx of visitors, the regional trains to and from Trieste will make an unscheduled stop at the Miramare Station, while the provincial commissioner of Vittorio Zollia Transport announced that they will be strengthened even ran the city bus line 6 will travel with double frequency.
