INFORMATION CORRECT – “The struggle with infertility – said Andrea Lenzi, Director of the Dep. Of Medical Pathophysiology and Endocrinology at La Sapienza University of Rome, President of SIE (Italian Society of Endocrinology), Chairman of University Council National – must begin with accurate information to citizens on how to take care of their own fertility and on the reproductive potential of each is limited in time: the woman touches maximum levels between 20 and 30 years and then begin a slow decline that takes values important when they reach 35 years of age. It ‘important to note that the time factor also applies to assisted reproductive technology, whose effectiveness decreases with increasing age. “

PMA – “Today for infertile couples the chance to have a child is much higher than in the past – said Eleonora Porcu, head of the Center for Infertility and PMA University of Bologna Policlinico Sant ‘ Orsola Malpighi, Vice President of the National Health Council – due to the evolution of techniques of PMA and the commitment of all actors of Reproductive Medicine. One of the biggest successes of recent years is the real opportunity for cancer patients to preserve their fertility and not give up the desire for parenthood once healed from the disease. “

PLATFORM – Among the changes announced by the Manifesto for 2016, the availability of Merck to support public facilities to encourage the preservation of fertility in cancer patients, an action that looks to the future of patients whose parenting might be compromised forever. Also new for next year is the development of the platform www.vogliounfiglio.it, aimed at providing digital tools for concrete help, guide and support couples who wish to have a child.
