BARI – The most advanced measurement technologies and the adoption of sophisticated self-reading: are the latest innovations planned for the Aqueduct Pugliese city ​​of Bari. At present the project, the result of an agreement between the AQP and the Municipality of Bari, the sole director of the company via Cognetti, Nicola Costantino, and the mayor of Bari, Antonio Decaro.

It is a package of value-added services, designed for the largest customers of AQP, including, there is the city council of Bari, which with its 637 contract positions of users and 530 thousand cubic meters / year water consumed, it is the second highest use of water in Puglia. Highlights of the new technology plan are the introduction of water meters and the latest digital service smart city, centered on the reading distance and with greater frequency of consumption data. The new technological device can count on 500 electromagnetic flowmeters, to replace current mechanical meters, with an advanced technology of high-precision measurement, already integrated with a communication system. The service will also cover the radio reading, detecting and recording on-site consumption every 30 minutes, collect the data from the meters, with a frequency of 2 readings per month, the monitoring of utilities based on consumption profiles times.
