On 29 and 30 June will be held in Milan “RuggedPOD”, the international workshop dedicated to the technology and the transformation of the data center. Numerous international guests will talk about innovation and the sustainable future of cloud: a new concept of data center, which will give the opportunity to increase efficiency and make available computing resources at ever lower prices. More virtual space, more efficiency and lower costs, also in the Province of Cuneo.
“RuggedPOD” will be an opportunity to take stock of the situation on various issues and projects that some international communities are pursuing. The event is dedicated to those who believe in the community and in the sharing of knowledge, or “Open Source”, and in the possibility of providing access to the Cloud at a reduced cost. According to ISTAT about one-third of Internet users (about 9 million Internet) has resorted to cloud services to access their files. Spaces for storing / sharing on the Internet is used mainly by people between 18 and 34 years to save or share photos (73.9%), text, spreadsheet or electronic presentations (47.4%), music files (37.3%) and video including movies and TV shows (23.3%)
