Weeks full of novelty to innovation for taxis: the arrival of AppTaxi and to MyTaxi addition to offering IT Taxi yellow cars via smartphone. And while the Court of Milan on May 26 ordered the stop of Uber Pop throughout Italy, IT Taxi has pulled together the developers, designers, makers during TaxiHack, the first hackathon dedicated to innovation in the service taxi, organized in Codemotion collaboration with, one of the largest technical conference for developers in Europe, with the support of Rome Makers, Fablab the best known in the capital.

The marathon programming organized by URI – Union of Italian Radiotaxi be held in Rome on 13 and 14 June 2015, at the Multimedia Room of the Cooperative Radiotaxi 3570, and will involve participants to grapple in a double challenge: to hack not only the IT Taxi app, but also a real taxi. At http://thetaxihack.eventbrite.com you can do the recording. There will be three prizes, from 2 thousand to one thousand euro.

It will be on IT Taxi that will focus the attention of developers, who will be asked to find solutions for disruptive innovation of the app URI – Union Radiotaxi of Italy – who to book, pay and review the white cars in over 40 cities, up to a total of at least 12 thousand taxis throughout Italy: the stated objective is to innovate mobility taxis, providing users with more and more smart solutions to facilitate travel in the city and between different centers. The app is now used by 100 thousand users and recently introduced the possibility of paying directly by credit card, not only via PayPal.

There are many challenges that will be called hackers: Implementing systems Reservation in-app more user friendly, introducing new solutions to facilitate the payment processing, the bitcoin implementation of proximity technologies, app development for wearable devices, taxisharing, calculating anticipated price of racing and much more.
