Audi TT Clubsport Turbo – At Wörthersee prototype 600 hp – Quattroruote

Five-cylinder and 600 hp. With a twin-turbo system and the electrical charging already tested on other prototypes, the House managed to squeeze by the engine 600 hp and 650 Nm of torque, offloaded in through the four-wheel drive and six-speed manual transmission. This powetrain, the same Audi calls “close to series production,” provides maximum torque from 3,000 to 7,000 rpm, thus ensuring reactivity unknown to current versions.

Sixteen meters in two seconds and a half. In order to better explain the contribution of the electrical charging Ingolstadt it has provided some data on the acceleration: the immediate availability of the couple allows you to travel 16 meters in the first 2.5 seconds after the standing start, six more than in a traditional model. At low engine speeds the electrical charging is able to offer approximately 200 Nm roll thanks to the energy supplied by a plant dedicated to 48 Volt, and the lithium battery positioned in the bagaliaio (and recharged during the phases of coasting).

Body distorted. With only 3.6 seconds to reach 100 km / h acceleration and a peak of 310 km / h the TT Clubsport needed an important development of all components, and for this reason – inspired by the Audi 90 IMSA GTO – introduction of new aerodynamic appendage with adjustable rear, a new front bumper with enlarged air intakes and wide track of 14 cm total.

Diet iron. The extensive use of carbon fiber and simplification of the interior, where he installed a half-cage safety titanium and where carbon and Alcantara replace the standard finishes, allowed to reduce the total mass within 1,396 kg. The set includes dedicated components, an electrical system for the lifting of the front axle and 20 “wheels with channel 9.5 inches and 275/30 tires. The carbon-ceramic brakes also adopts front discs 370 mm.
