What’s better than a nice ice cream , maybe crafts and exotic taste , to take a break during the hot days that anticipate the summer? From Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, June 7 Milanese and tourists can have a real ice cream parlor open: in fact back in Piazza Castello appointment with Ice Cream Festival , this year in the longer version on the occasion of Expo.
Now in its sixth year, the event offers the opportunity to make a tasty trip to quality ingredients, unusual tastes and technological innovation of one of the Italian culinary excellence.
The master gelato makers are ready to compete in the Buontalenti , a real laboratory Mobile , for the title of best taste of Gelato Festival , decreed by the combined vote of a jury and popular. In the race we are: Massiliano Ginelli of ice cream to taste with 54 Ginger ; Simone Luca Fabio of the little girl with the ice cream flavor Sacher , Francesco Rocca with the taste of ice cream Rembrandt Honeymoon , Michail Tyrakis , Adriano Rovaris Porta Romana gelato with the taste Cherry chocolate , Fabio Brambilla of ice cream with Naturalia the Awakening of the Gods , Osvaldo Palermo with the taste of ice cream Fiordipanna Almond praline and orange and finally
Lorenzo Repetto gelato Souvenir d’Italie with taste Frenzy summer .
In teaching Catherine , which takes its name from the noble house of Medici, the first ambassador of the Florentine gelato in Europe, it is possible to attend closely to the lessons and the showcooking on the preparation of sorbets tastes exotic ice cream or traditional bio.
New in this edition is the taste Expo, designed specifically for the Universal Exhibition: a sorbet mango with variegation of kiwi and strawberry , water-based and suitable for even the lactose intolerant. Among others special tastes , the Nutella Icecream , Amor Pernigotti and Buontalenti .
The event is free entry , 12 to 22 : those entering for free, however, can only watch. To taste serves Gelato card , a subscription valid for all days of the event.
The card entitles you to five tastings plus a tribute, if you decides to vote for their favorite, and ensures unlimited participation in the showcooking School Gelato Festival . You can buy it online until 22.30 the day before the event, at the special price of 5 euro or directly on site at a cost of slightly increased; is not nominal and can be used in more days, to finish the tastes not consumed.
