According to a report published online edition of the renowned business magazine Forbes, Microsoft would be the third technology company in the world, after Apple and Samsung. The list compiled by Forbes looks at four different parameters: revenue, profits, assets and market value.
Aside from the Apple, unattainable in the first place, Microsoft can not beat competition from giants such as Google, Facebook and Amazon. For one parameter, that of the market capitalization, the Redmond company also arises in front of the South Korean competitor Samsung.
As mentioned the use of different parameters penalizes many large companies, so that at the top we find those which reported data sufficiently balanced.
Microsoft for its part is working on the new Windows 10 platform in the coming months, as well as many new techniques, will bring a new philosophy in the field of computer science. PC, smartphone, tablet and consoles will be equipped with the new OS, and Redmond are expecting a great response from the audience: Terry Myerson, Executive Vice President in charge of operating systems, has estimated that over the next three years the devices will be equipped with Windows 10 a billion!
