Gabriele Rossi and Marina Lia, Equilibria: Double exclusive interview – UrbanPost

What is it and how did equilibria? UrbanPost has asked Gabriele Rossi, known actor of fiction Rai and others, and Marina Lia, President of the Foundation Devlata.

Gabriele Rossi has returned to one of his first passions, one linked to choreography and dance. After the success achieved by A Step from Heaven 3 , the young and talented actor, along with Marina Lia , President Foundation Devlata , he has created a theatrical performance called Balance . What is it about? UrbanPost interviewed them to understand it better and to be told all the different aspects of the show.

How did equilibria, the new project that gives you involved?

Gabriele Rossi: Balances was born from the idea to capitalize on the great opportunities that we have been given by the Foundation Devlata, to exploit that he could be born in the Foundation. I as a choreographer and director of the company I was able to take advantage of a theater in which to experience all the avant-garde today, especially in video art. We have in fact a video art project sensory with which the music reacts with the movement of the dancers and the light. In addition, the birth of equilibria was aided by a drive early that we came from Bolli, that would be a mascot, let’s call it. He was the son of the president of the Foundation who has only 12 years, a guy with whom I have worked for a year, to put together a series of spontaneous reactions on which we took the lines to stage what a show balanced, that’s also why it’s called Balance, between dance, acrobatics and video art; the three basic characteristics of all .

What can you tell us about the show? What should the audience expect?

Gabriele Rossi: The show is a total immersion of the senses inside. They put to the test all the five senses. We have set up a kind of show that makes the viewer enter into entirely thanks to 3D projections that allow a total immersion in the scene, in addition to light beams that wrap around the audience .

How many and what emotions will be at stake in this new experience?

Gabriele Rossi: For us it was a thrill to see the manner in which the project was born. We started with a balance that we had been given by some readings, but then during the course we realized that you could give a broad direction and a much wider to those who are on the streets to take doors because the show becomes, from time in time, we are experiencing trying it, different. It is constantly evolving. Whenever we try to throw in detail, thanks to a technological system, every show is not the same as the previous year. So there is a uniqueness of the act as if it were a performance of contemporary art, unique art. Just alter some wireless game and suddenly the show changes .

Marina Lia: E ‘continuous experimentation .

Gabriele Rossi: In terms of emotions we go from grand finale that is the absolute lightness with a video projection that accompanies us in a fantasy world. The music of Luca Biada from one dimension absolutely hilarious as if all this were an antidote to life that often unfortunately not always so light. But we come to the final situation at the beginning of a path that focuses on disability, given the tightrope walker. It starts from the chaos and you get an order found.

Is there any funny anecdote that happened during rehearsals?

Marina Lia: The fun during practice is definitely given by Bolli that life always has a look at the antipodes of our, always amazed, ecstatic always, always happy. He knows that in addition to the things choreographed to perfection, there are times when you do not know retain and intervenes spontaneously. He comes into the picture, although it is not his time, and has a look so amused and delighted that leads people to look at everything with his eyes . (A real cathartic moment, a moment so spontaneous and beautiful, which engages even more the viewer and allows everyone to enter fully into the show).

There is the idea to bring the show around Italy?

Marina Lia: Certainly yes; Also the ability to change it, expand it. We did a fortnight’s trial and we left all the doors open .

Gabriele Rossi: This show is like a box that can be filled with so many things .

Marina Lia : a show that can be modified, having the box ready you can fill with what you want in every city .

Gabriel Rossi: we are defining the dates these days. Soon there will be news. Surely we will be soon in Rome .

Is there anything you want to add?

Marina Lia: Yes. One thing we would. I should note that one of the peculiarities of the show is the fact that it was born not in a theater but in one big top of a circus that is here with us in the Foundation and that will then serve to host other projects .
