Ready to debut New Espace, premium crossover Renault – ANSA.it

NIMES – A modern and ‘rewarding’ alternative to the premium station wagon and SUV popular (especially among the company cars) to discover the pleasure of traveling with all the space you need and with a level of comfort comparable only to that of the flagships. Here, in summary, the mission of the latest generation of Renault Espace evolving, moving from the world of traditional MPV – whose sales were down in all markets – that of crossover. A leap in image quality and driving pleasure that is the result of well 1.25 million units produced since 1984 (debut year of the first Espace) and the use of the best resources of the Renault-Nissan, as the platform that is the same as the Qashqai and X-Trail, and the great creativity of the French both in terms of design and technological innovation. With Renault Espace is also a step forward in the direction of the high range, in order to provide its customers quality levels perfectly aligned to the world premium but with prices that are ‘accessible’ in comparison to the direct competition (Espace part from € 32,900 for the 1.6 dCi 130 hp version Zen). This is confirmed by the investment of 420 million euro made on the production site of Douai to develop new technologies for deep drawing hot rolling, for coating processes, for the detection of the quality in the industrial process by applying the procedures of Daimler, the ‘partner’ of important JV in place with the Renault-Nissan Alliance, or even for 100 thousand hours of training to employees who have served the diploma ‘Passport Site High End’. There are many elements in the New Espace underline the character and aspirations of this model that – while retaining a ‘memory’ of the design of the previous minivan, ‘steers’ firmly toward crossovers thanks to a very flowing and sports, thanks to lower height than the previous model (- 63 mm) and the panoramic windscreen ‘lumière’ of 2.8 square meters, which includes all versions the fixed roof glass above the front seats. Definitely premium also the treatment of the front, with LED lights, and tail lights with light that creates a personal signature, as are many exterior details, including the large diameter wheels (ranging from 17 to 19 inches in the envelopes standard and can get as an option, up to 20 inches), and moldings that extend up to the hood support of the exterior mirrors. Important in look, New Espace also has size ‘important’ – 4 meters in length and 85, 1 and 87 wide and a wheelbase of 2 meters and 88 – making it, especially for companies that will be the second Renault Italy 70% of the national clientele for this model as an alternative to traditional premium sedans. A size that reflects positively on the suitability – perfect for 5 people and comfortable even for 7 occupants with the third row of seats on request (cost 900 euro or 1200 depending on the level of finishing of the vehicle) – but that does not detract at all the maneuvers or driving, also for the presence of numerous ‘aid’ electronic serial or request. The commercial debut is scheduled for next weekend of 23 May, but orders have already opened yesterday April 8.
