Blue stripes, pays more people from outside Ivrea – The Sentinel of the Canavese

IVREA. In the city council, the theme was revealed last November. Fabrizio Dulla , leader of the Democratic Party, had put on the plate of the junta’s invitation to work to differentiate the rates of parking between residents and non-residents. The reason? A sign of fairness, greater equalization than the use of so-called indivisible. Ivrea, as noted, has maintained the IMU on the second home and then find a way to differentiate (and obviously favor) residents who pay city services delivered on a large scale than those who, while not being residents, attend and enjoy the city. It is not a novelty: several cities in Italy (and Europe) have already applied, in particular those who, for reasons of massive tourism, they see the population increase dramatically at certain times of the year.

The junta led by Mayor Carlo Della Pepa has collected so what emerged from the council and past the post in Ivrea parking, a company owned 85% by the City. Ivrea car parks, led by a year from Massimo Sosso , then drew a project. That, in recent weeks, began to turn in various meetings, first of all among the members of the center-left majority that governs the city.

The revolution of the cost of parking areas, in the study, did not cover all the parking fee, but only those most close to the historical center. From the project, at the moment is such excluded Freguglia square. In essence, the novelty will cover about 500 stalls, half of those in Ivrea.

The principle is simple: park now costs 85 cents an hour and is assumed to elevate to a euro per hour for non-residents (the same rate that you pay to the streets of the cupboard, in front of the hospital) and get off at 70 cents for residents.

The question, legitimate, is how you will distinguish residents from non-residents. The project involves an investment for a new software of parking meters (which, in fact, are already the latest generation and can be upgraded) and the provision to residents, a card to use, in fact, when you leave the car. The estimated investment, by the Ivrea car parks, should be between 30 and 35 thousand euro. The resident card, is also forecast rechargeable and, therefore, with the option to park several times by scaling the sum prepaid up to exhaustion. More.

Potentially, the parking meters, by their nature, they could offer, obviously to residents, also may other services typical of smart city , smart cities and technology. Some examples? Directly pay the fines for violation of traffic rules. (ri.co.)
