Marzotto Prize for companies and startups, selected the finalists

From assistance to blind systems pre-cancer screening, from drones to purification: here are the projects vying for the awards.

The juries have met the finalists for individual interviews in the Villa Trissino Marzotto.

The fifth edition of Gaetano Marzotto, the most important Italian competition dedicated to the world of startups and dell ‘ innovation, has entered the final stages. From assistance to blind wearable systems pre-cancer screening, by drones to purification: these are just some of the competing projects that will compete for the awards.

There are 5 great finalists for the “Award for Enterprise” vying an award of 300,000 Euros in cash and a path alongside the value of 25,000 euro. Even the five finalists for the award “From Idea to Company”, in the race to win the prize money of 50,000 euro. In addition to these seven finalists in the race for the “Special Award UniCredit Start Lab” that assigns dedicated paths alongside a total value of 150,000 Euro. “ Several projects related to the field finalists medical, health and renewable energy – comments Matteo Marzotto, President of Association Project Marzotto – but also monitoring systems of the territory and those for the local, and the Helicopter Safety, through the technologies dedicated to the sport, the services to make life easier for parents on the go. ”

The finalists of the 2015 in the “ Award for Enterprise ” are five. “Archon” deals with inspections and automated surveillance of critical areas, 24 hours on 24 and 7 days out of 7, thanks to the intelligent management of several drones. “Horus”, instead, is a wearable personal assistant for the blind and visually impaired, and through a system of stereoscopic vision observes the reality, analyzes and describes the user through a speech bone conduction. “Marioway” is a power wheelchair innovative, ergonomic seat in the upright position variable that allows people with mobility impairments to driving without hands performing passive exercise. “Scent” brings the sensor technology in bio-medical, with devices for prescreening tumor that will allow to refine the analysis protocol for the current colorectal cancer. Finally, “Walty” is a water purifier that can eliminate any source of contamination while generating energy and allowing connectivity to the Internet.

As for the prize “ From the idea to the company “, reserved for under 35, the finalists are five. The project “Amiko” regards the acquisition and analysis of data on the state of the drugs. “WindCity”, instead, is a wind turbine to capture the wind in the cities. “ProXentia” offers tools for monitoring the safety and quality for the food industry; “MEDinACTION”, instead, a medical service at home for tourists and travelers. Finally, “RTF-27.C” offers a line of security products in the helicopters able to dramatically reduce the damage in a crash on the ground. The jury is composed of personalities from the world of business, research, finance, venture capitalists and the press, as Luca Colombo Facebook Italy, Salvatore Majorana Italian Institute of Technology and Massimo Russo, Deputy Director of La Stampa .

The seven startups selected as finalists for the special prize “UniCredit Start Lab” are, in addition to the already described “Amiko” and “Archon”, also Milan ‘BabyGuest “- a platform for the rental of equipment for children that helps parents traveling; “Bikee Bike,” which offers a conversion kit that turns your bike into a powerful e-bike in a quarter of an hour; “NeuroGoggles” technological glasses offer a new frontier for the treatment of cognitive disorders in adults and children; “ProXentia” – tools for the control of safety and quality for the food industry and, finally, “Zulu Emergency,” for the support, the recording and sharing of mobile diagnostic activities in emergency situations.

Among the novelties of this fifth edition of the three “ Corporate Awards “, worth 50,000 euro each. They will be awarded by the three industry groups and new partners CLN Group, Santex Group Rimar and Santa Margherita Group Vinicolo. The finalists of the three Corporate Awards, for innovative candidates to both the “Prize for the enterprise” that the “Award from the idea to the company”, are being evaluated by the companies themselves.

Win a prize pool of over one million Euros, which will be distributed during the ceremony of final awards ceremony to be held on November 26 in Milan during dell’Unicredit Pavilion . During the event the President of Association Project Marzotto, Matteo Marzotto, he will reward the winner of the Award for the company, the winner of the idea to the company, the Corporate Prize winners and winners of the Special Award UniCredit Start Lab.
