An incredible success. Record numbers. The kids area of Maker Faire 2015, the space dedicated to young aspiring makers from 5 to 16 years, knows no limit and continues to host thousands of children. After the visit yesterday morning of the Roman school, today it was the turn of the families in large numbers occurred in the halls T and U of the fair, to discover small all new technologies applied to the world of games. From toys to small robots 3D interactive compositions with wood until the interactive music, every island and every room for young makers was assaulted by fathers and by mothers who did not resist the event. Recall that every 15 minutes the children, accompanied by animators scientific experts, can participate independently in educational tours lasting an hour and a half rich experiences STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math). In addition there are seven positions open, rich teaching experiences, dedicated to tinkering, to coding and technical education.
Six classrooms, however, are dedicated to the implementation of technological workshops, lasting an hour and a half dedicated in programming, robotics and tinkering. Why not take a stage on which they are made demonstrations and science shows lasting 15 minutes, repeated on each day of the event. The hotel also offers a real laboratory equipped by which to discover the secrets of all the most interesting machines of the “do it yourself” digital, that children can get to know and use with the help of real maker, and an interactive exhibition. In short, for the genes of the future not really miss anything.
