Here is the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro. The smartphone that “dance” – La Gazzetta dello Sport

it’s called “project Tango”, as the Argentine dance of the same name, and is a project developed by Google. It is a technology that, by using an advanced sensor system, is able to make a complete mapping of the surrounding environment. A computer or a tablet equipped with this system are therefore able to “read” with pinpoint accuracy the room in which they find themselves and understand that position and orientation with respect to occupy it. According to experts, it is the key to the development of a new generation of robots or drones, able to recognize the surrounding environment and to move independently, safely, inside it (the same name of the project, it refers precisely to the ambitious challenge of being able in the future to make dance the tango – dance pretty busy – a robot).

alternative to GPS – But you It is a technology that can be profitably used even on a smartphone in order to implement advanced solutions Augmented Reality, or identification of the sites in a way alternative to more traditional GPS: imagine a mobile phone can automatically recognize, by his own camera the Fontana di Trevi or a Harley Davidson 883 and to provide, in real time, a series of information about them. Be ‘, now (or better from September) this phone already exists: it is called Phab 2 Pro. It is the first smartphone to be produced and marketed by Lenovo – leading company in the PC world – that goes well, straight leg, in a hitherto unexplored by the Beijing area, throwing the challenge to Samsung, Sony and Apple, to date, have divided the rich slices of this prosperous market segment. “phablet” – As the name suggests, Phab 2 Pro is, in fact, a phablet, that is a hybrid between a tablet and a traditional smartphone: its size not really Lilliputian – the screen is 6 and a half inches – make it a bit ‘bulky but it’s the technology that’s in it to make a difference. The technological heart of the system is in fact constituted by 4 cameras (made by Intel) that give the phone the features that we have described above. Despite the high degree of innovation introduced by this new device, the launch price to the public is absolutely affordable: the phone will be available in September in Italy at a price that should be around 499 Euros.

that showcase – but the new phone is just one of the technological marvels presented, these days, by Lenovo in that of San Francisco as a showcase event “Tech World”: another great challenge met (but never won) in recent years by manufacturers of tablet is that of folding screens. Many solutions have been tried, but so far no one had been able to go very well as a few admirable mock-up. A Tech World, however, Lenovo has introduced two different projects in this regard: “Folio” and “Cplus”. The first is a foldable tablet: a median hinge lets you open and close the device as a notebook or a notebook, without the touch screen show the slightest wrinkle. The second, even more attractive, is a smartphone Android articulated so that they can wrap the user’s wrist, thus becoming, on occasion, in a striking smartwatch. The last surprise, finally, Lenovo has reserved for Motorola: the company that literally invented (in 1983) mobile telephony was in fact acquired by the Chinese colossus two years ago and the Tech World has presented a new generation of phones : series Z. Moto Smartphone Android midrange and no special frills (apart from the apparent indestructibility: thanks to the patented “ShatterShield” the phone can withstand easily shocks and violent falls without suffering even a scratch), phones Moto Z (there are two types: one basic and one more evolved called “Moto Z Force”) can be magnetically attached to the thin external modules (sold separately) that add new features to the device: there is a mod that turns phone into a mini-projector, one in an extraordinary “sound station,” another in a real PC, and so on.

new uses – The idea, basically, is to achieve the “physical app” that give new uses to the phone itself. “With MotoMods we created a real ecosystem from virtually limitless” possibilities said Yang Yuanqing, CEO of Lenovo, in order to encourage partners and investors to design and implement new mod, he has even launched a contest, with a prize pool of one million dollars, for those who will carry the most useful and original mod. As well as the Phab 2 Pro, even the Moto Z and the related “MotoMods” will be available in September (even in Italy); unfortunately at the moment it is not yet to know the price.
