This as stressed by the President of Productive District Fisheries, Giovanni Tumbiolo, officially presenting, at the Circle in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the fifth edition (5-9 October 2016) of the event Blue Sea Land-Expo of food Districts Mediterranean , Africa and the Middle East. Tumbiolo read a message of congratulations for the event sent by the Minister Maurizio Martina.

Blue Sea Land promotes the Cluster model of agro-fish-food districts representing the real economy of the territories and a virtuous model to make the system, create employment and provide more information on food safety for producers and consumers. Blue Sea Land has in fact seen in these years the participation of some of the most important Italian agrifood districts and their member companies: the Agribusiness District of San Daniele del Friuli, the District of Citrus from Sicily, the District Agribusiness Gragnano, the Valdobbiadone of Prosecco District, the District fish of Rovigo, the Poultry District of Sicily, the District Grain of Sicily, the prickly figs District of Sicily, the Milk and dairy District of Sicily, the Oil and Wine District. Also important is the participation of the District of Sicily Dolce promoting the fruit of the specialties of the common tradition of the central Mediterranean countries; in other terms Blue Sea Land promotes a kind of genuine cultural integration in the field of wine and food.
