Microsoft Philantropies founded the association to help … – SmartWorld

Andrea Centorrino

Microsoft social commitment is not new: we know well that one of the founders has created one of the largest philanthropic in the world, or the Bill & amp; Melinda Gates Foundation . To honor this intent, the company Remond has recently founded Microsoft Philantropies , which aims to help people who do not have the means to access to technological tools.

Microsoft will invest money ( approximately $ 75 million over the next three years) and technologies in partnership that could allow a larger segment of the world’s population access to technological tools ranging from the mere provision of connectivity to complex systems development cloud, obviously passing through the digital instruction of young and old.

To head the new company will be Brad Smith , former general counsel of Microsoft. Think Microsoft Philantropies can bring tangible benefits to these people? The fields of interest are valid or should it focus on more?
