A plane of the Meridian to Milan lost a wheel during the takeoff from Catania, which has fallen on the beach of Plaia, deserted in the wintertime without prosecution damage to property or persons. The flight made a successful emergency landing. The accident occurred Meridiana aircraft took off from Catania at 09.28 and to Milan Linate. In taking off from the aircraft it fell off a rear outside wheel that fell on the sandy beach of Plaia, which in summer is crowded, without causing damage.
