Intel launches drone and invests $ 60 Million with Yuneec – HDblog (Blog)

It is back to talk about drones with an important new feature, field down even Intel today , the chipmaker has announced through its CEO, Brian Krzanich, a partnership with Yuneec Electric Aviation .

On the plate Intel will now $ 60 million , the home of Hong Kong will thus give a decisive boost to the development of its consumer drones, using the know-how accumulated since 1999 and hundreds of patents. Among the products already on the market of Yuneec have the Typhoon Q500, a quadcopter launched in 2014 based on Android that has a 1080p camera, rocker 3-axis and signal to 5.8GHz for digital control remote and streaming video using transmitters at 2.4GHz.

A new Typhoon came to light earlier this year with improvements especially in terms multimedia and more powerful camera. But the wait is now for the near future , with the technological solutions of Intel, the hardware and its investments, the scene could quickly change. Will know very well the Chinese DJI, current leader in the market thanks to its Phantom and a value jumped more than $ 10 billion , but between competitors there were certainly giants like Intel and Sony, the latter also has in fact recently launched in the challenge by starting a partnership with ZMP .

The words of Krzanich not leave much room for misunderstanding:

We put the drones in our roadmap, which will change the world and truly revolutionize the industry of drones.
