The Czech Republic is a country with a rich tradition in the field of agriculture and food production, not only is the world leader in some specific fields of research. On the occasion of Expo presents the results of research institutions biochemistry and nanotechnology applied in the care of the environment, in human and animal health and production of safe food. Because the country is at the forefront as far as It concerns the management and exploitation of water resources. So much that he gave his contribution to purifying water in Africa, in Asia or wherever there is shortage. Water, then, as a central theme, along with sustainability and food security, because basically this element common to many areas, from science to nutrition, from culture to life of the people.
Pavilion: building with a pool of water at the entrance
The modular building, 1500 square meters on three floors, was built in six weeks and thought to be reused in other future occasions, in accordance with the concepts of low environmental impact and sustainability. It is a high-tech project, project study Chybik + Kristof Associated Architects and assembled by Koma Modular Construction Vizovice, with a strong visual impact. Of course, with a large body of water just right at the entrance, the Czechs, liked to win easy! This sort of pool, at the ankles, is a space intended for parties, events, tastings and workshops for children.
Exhibition
On the ground floor, do not miss the laboratory of silence, a space that reproduces the atmosphere of the forest Czech. On the second floor, however, you can make a culture: it is dedicated to scientific and technological innovations in the country, presented by scientists and artists. Among the many exhibits, there is one on the dna of cereals. The terrace houses a garden of over 350 square meters and a relaxation area. Ideal to rest at the end of the visit in the Pavilion. Two restaurants: one, self service, on the ground floor and one on the second floor called “The hut of the hunter.” The cuisine is traditional course with a high prevalence of game.
