ROME – Not only design and elegance in the future Infiniti – Nissan’s premium brand – but also important technological innovations. One example is the VC-T system (Variable Compression-Turbocharged), which will be unveiled on 29 September in Paris on the occasion of the Mondiale de l’Automobile.

The new technology that characterizes the VC-T engines to Infiniti is its ability to ‘transform’ by varying the compression ratio of 8: 1 (for high performance) and 14: 1 (for high efficiency). And ‘the computerized system of sophisticated motor control to automatically apply the optimum ratio, depending on what is required by the situation, with multiple benefits for customers: significant reduction in fuel consumption and emissions and lowering noise levels and vibration.
The engine VC-T is also lighter and more compact than comparable conventional.
