the commitment of the organizing committee, in broad synergy with the ‘ Automobile Club Pistoia, it was the maximum, in these first days of August the “Pistoia number 37″ project received the final go and is therefore presented. It will be a rally at times but renovated with an eye to tradition, however, seen that over time had significant findings in terms of media and appreciation on the part of those who run.
THE ROUTE: A PARTIAL RENEWAL a cHALLENGE fOR COMPELLING
the competition will be structured as in the recent past, in two days of challenges on a route that includes some innovations alongside a now consolidated paths over time. As regards the path, there are two substantial innovations: the test of “Gello” (Km. 8,580), which will be traveled in the reverse direction with respect to 2015 and with the final commitment that leads to thankful / Momigno, but the great wealth of 2016 will be long “Casore”, a famous name, which will be well 20.260 kilometers, to go on two occasions. The test is a highly paced mix that exploits the different options given by the intertwining of roads of the river valley area Vincio, so much so that starting from the locality “Chestnut,” then drops so challenging to Casore, until “La Sassa “and then up towards Avaglio. It will be a commitment to “Total”, for those who come before it, a test where surely we will play to win. The other tests will be the “Montalbano” (Km. 14.230), starting from Montemagno, passing Forrottoli then take in the beautiful hill of “San Baronto”. It will therefore be the same test proposed for the first time in the past year and the route will be completed with another timeless classic, the “Montevettolini” (Km. 8.230), with start and finish from Pozzarello at the gates of Cantagrillo.
in total, the race fit 340.370 km of which the 30,17% will be competitive distance, then 102.600 kilometers, divided into eight special stages.
tHE NEW HEADQUARTERS: tHE NURSERY CAMPUS
the welcome the Italian Cup requires having such a functional logistics, but upscale. THE PROGRAM CONTRACT
From ‘ September 8 to 3 Oct. register now . Then it will pass the commitment on the field. The reconnaissance of the route, with production vehicles and manned by Officials and the Police, will take place the 1 and 7 October and for the two days of competition the timing will be as follows:
Saturday October 8, from 8.30 to 13.30, the operations of administrative verification and technique will take place at the dealership Brandini, in industrial area. “St. Augustine”
Santonuovo, more Saturday, October 8, will be organized the “shakedown” testing with race cars , from 09,00 to 13,00.
In the afternoon, the 16.30, the departure from Casalguidi and then the competitors will have to deal with the first four commitments with the stopwatch : two laps on the “Montalbano” and as many on the “Gello”. Then, starting at 22.30 in the night will come reordering in Casalguidi.
The next day, Sunday October 9 , the first competitor will come out at 08.30 hours to drive caravan of crews still in the race to run the other four special stages remaining, ie the two long stretches of “Casore” and the other two of “Montevettolini”. Significant places of the remaining three rearrangements that will range from the competition: Pistoia (at the center, as in 2014 and 2015, after the PS 2), Quarrata (after the PS 6) and Monsummano Terme (after SS 7). The Service Park will be located at Bridge Star , as already happens from different editions. The arrival, in Casalguidi , will be at 16.00.
In addition to the scope, the Italian Cup, the 37th Rally Città di Pistoia will be valid for Regional Championship ACI Sport in coefficient 1.5 as well as one-make trophies Renault Twingo R1, R2 Renault Twingo, Renault Clio R3 and Peugeot competition.
last edition of the race was won by Michelini-Perna of Lucca, in a Citroen DS3 R5, in front of Gasperetti and Lenzi, both with a Renault Clio R3.
