Updates in sight for the Mazda 6 sedan and wagon – ANSA.it

ROME – superior Content, revisited aesthetic details, new technology for diesel and the debut of the G-Vectoring Control, which ensures more safety in driving conditions that limit being the main novelty of the 2017 Mazda 6. The range Japanese car, revisited both the sedan version and in that wagon, the sale will be on the different European markets from next autumn.

For the first range of proposals includes two units of 2.0-liter, 145 hp and 165 hp and a 192 hp 2.5. For the four-cylinder diesel, however, the offer focuses on the 2.2-liter Skyactiv-D common-rail, proposed in variants from 150 hp and 175 hp, matching both to manual gearboxes as to automatic.

These two engines bring to debut three new systems that help to improve performance and reduce noise, acting on the turbo pressure (High-Precision DE Boost Control), dampening the sound of the engine (Natural Sound Smoother) and varying the operation to control the frequency of the emitted vibrations (Natural Sound frequency Control), thus avoiding that resonance phenomena with negative effects on the acoustic comfort on board. Just the most noise, also linked to better insulation of the motor, is one of the major improvements promised by Japanese technicians for 2017 model Mazda 6. Relevant here for the adoption of new sound-absorbing panels and lower tolerances between panels in addition to aerodynamic refinements.

Inside, the main changes relate to the instrumentation: the new head-up display now high-resolution picture with the LCD screen 4.6 ” type full TFT-color. Different is also the design of the steering wheel.

At the technological level, finally, to signal the introduction of the recognition of the signs system (Traffic Sign Recognition), which is able to identify the speed limits and prohibitions transit and warns the driver in case of excessive gait. For the automatic emergency braking system (Advanced Smart City Brake Support system) to be recorded that have been extended considerably the pace of use and its range by replacing the infrared laser with a special camera.
