Roma technological innovations and parking, but the Olympic remains a half … – Calcio Fanpage

The Roman system has opened the new sophisticated control system and unveiled the car parks adjacent to the stadium. Low turnout in the stands but, looking forward to the Champions League, positive findings for police and the prefecture of the capital.

The news sometimes bewilder and create discomfort to fans, especially when they concern the now habitual ritual: that of the head to the stadium for the match. There was a little ‘apprehension in Rome for the introduction of new systems of reading of notes and biometric fingerprint sensors. The debut of these new technologies, key equipment to monitor and control the most of all the fans, he did not create queues and bad moods before the turnstiles as some had previously assumed.

Everything was done so without special smoothly, not least because many of the Olympic semi-deserted areas were desolately: especially the South curve, the heart of the Giallorossi typhoid, again sadly empty because of the strike against the barriers organized by the Roman ultras groups.

Before we get to the turnstiles and to be taken by the new detectors, thirty thousand fans who have decided to spend their afternoon in the company of Roma have also tested the new Capitoline decided by the council which, in an attempt to improve the roads around the Olympic Stadium, has ordered a ban on the circulation on the Tiber, and also created two new parking areas set up in the square Clodius and avenue of the XVII Olympiad. The first responses to the police station and the prefecture were satisfactory.

The “litmus test” will, however, on the occasion of return of the Champions League against Porto. At the Olimpico, in fact, many fans are expected (even Portuguese) that will test not only the roads around the stadium but also the same technological innovations posed to the turnstiles. To ensure safety, also will be in service hundreds of agents, police and municipal police: they too involved in the security plan, imposed by the Roman institutions.
