Cadillac Escala: the future starts here – al volante

NEW LINES – On the Cadillac Escala , 535 cm long sedan with four doors, see today many solutions expectations on upcoming model generations of American luxury home. Among these, for example, there is the new mask that loses the traditional finish in horizontal slats and extends towards the front headlights, now positioned in the longitudinal direction and no longer “pulled” towards the wheel arches. In this way, the front becomes more expressive and menacing, but also less personal. The Cadillac Escala makes its debut at the Concours d’Elegance at Pebble Beach and closes the “triptych” of innovations on display during the exhibition from Cadillac California: are convertible Ciel (2011) and the coupe Elmiraj (2013), which both have influenced on the lines of the models offered today.

a LOT oF QUALITY À – the Cadillac Escala is a sedan concept from the sporty cut, like setting akin to Audi A7: the pass (323 cm) and width (195 cm) are flagship, while the height reaches 145 cm. The wheels are 22 inches wide and conceal part of the outer length, also thanks to the roof very racy. The traction on the rear wheels and under the hood is a 4.2 V8 engine, biturbo, technology comes to deactivate four cylinders in very demanding driving conditions. The interior is divided into two areas: the front one is more modern, technological, rear devoted to luxury. Among the new debut on the Escala there are very valuable interior fabrics used for high fashion.

OLED INSIDE AND OUT Escala also serves to men of Cadillac as a testing ground in view of the onset of OLED lighting technology, more evolved and shape compared to LEDs. OLEDs are used for the headlights and for the instrument panel, now composed of three screens: in the first case it was possible to draw lights even more tapered and minimal, in the second curved panel to obtain a very high degree of definition. Also new is the multimedia system, now controlled from a platform on the tunnel, which allows to impart touch controls without taking your eyes off the road. At the same time you can use voice and gesture control.
