Ancient artisan techniques that make every artifact, and LED technology: this combination to create the unprecedented suspension lamps, table or large wall aesthetic appeal, but also in step with technological progress. It is the trend that emerges from some of the most interesting proposals in the domestic lighting industry; manufacturers, although 2016 has been a year of Euroluce, the trade fair that accompanies every two years, the Salone del Mobile, have enriched their catalogs of products, from design, mix effectively craft and technology, research on materials and poetic invention.
It is the peculiarity of Pinecone, a pendant and table lamp shaped like a pine cone (as shown by the English name), created by designer Paola Navone for FontanaArte. The speaker is, in fact, a large glass cone, which hangs from the ceiling or leaning on a mobile, obtained by the ancient technique of caged blown glass. The technique requires that the glass master to mouth blow the glass bubble inside a metal cage, in this case diamond meshed; the glass seems to hang in the expansion the moment, restrained by the metal basket.
