BMW i3 – For small electric Monaco could soon get interesting technological innovations. BMW has presented in Detroit, during the fair TU-Automotive dedicated to new technologies The World of Cars, the new project BMW Dynamic Parking Prediction . The study, carried out by BMW together with giant navigation Inrix, has enabled the development of an algorithm that can predict areas of a city where there is more likely to find a parking space.

The various BMW car fleet can send it to a central server of anonymous data that show when a vehicle is parked when it is sharing or when it is looking for a space for parking. The BMW Dynamic Parking Prediction processes all these data by calculating where you can find parking more easily, thus saving time in searching for a place to stop.

This addition to reduce the loss of time to search for a parking space, it could also have a positive effect on reducing traffic vehicles that roam the streets looking for parking. The system, being tested in Monaco close to the BMW headquarters, seems to be quite effective according to the Bavarian manufacturer but we have to wait a while ‘before the actual arrival on production cars and to expand to other cities of the World .
