(This base will be used globally by all the factories of PSA and Dongfeng) but also for coupling the propulsion 100% electric to a functionally acceptable size, both from the point of view of the habitability of the mass that internal. For these new electric models PSA tip to a range higher than that of rivals, reaching – according to the NEDC homologation tests – 390 km in the case of a future electric SUV segment C and 450 km distance to a sedan segment B. This result should be achieved by using lithium-ion 50 kWh (today are typically 30 kWh) and adding several technological innovations, such as a heat pump system for air-conditioning can, by itself, increase of 50 m l ‘autonomy. In the case of plug-in hybrid models PSA has instead indicated autonomy in 100% electric mode of 60 km and a reduction in overall consumption – thanks to the arrival of a new 8-speed automatic transmission – at around 40%.
