“Aerodynamics”, the kitchen of the future that is inspired by Ferrari and … – the Journal

And they say the brain drain. Evidently some of our best creative minds is still with his feet firmly in Italy. This is demonstrated by the work of the Florentine designer Sandro Berni the same as last year presented at the fair in Scandicci the kitchen with the garden inserted inside. His latest creation is called “Aerodynamics” one of the kitchens more innovative, futuristic and technological world, presented at the Salone del Mobile in Florence at the Fortezza da Basso.
This time Berni rewrote the whole concept of “island” inspired by the aerodynamic lines of the finest Italian sports cars. A true example of what it means to the essence of Made in Italy. The snack area floats in the air thanks to a play of glass and inside of handouts is a compartment, which opens electrically at a distance, where they lodge all utensils. The top steel scratched hides the sink and the counter is in walnut wood recovery. Produced by AskCucine, Berni has designed this kitchen thinking mainly to the modern family, who have little time to clean, but who instead want to cook talking to the diners, looking into his eyes rather than giving them the back.
The project have worked more than 40 people which have believed from the beginning in the draft Berni trying to overcome all the difficulties of this project. Berni has followed the production meticulously and encouraging people in difficult moments when everything seemed impossible. Berni for the word impossible does not exist and everything he does, he does fun and stimulating others to look beyond.
The kitchen Aerodynamics was presented at the Salone del Mobile in Florence and Berni has also lectured at young design students of the same academy in Florence that he has attended: the Academy of Art and Design Leonetto Cappiello. With “Aerodynamics” Berni has once again demonstrated his talent by rewriting from scratch the concept of traditional and futuristic styling a model with many previews of the world enclosed in single project.
Already in the case of “OrtoCucina” Berni had put in place all its capabilities. In that case, it is worth remembering, the main novelty was the garden working with irrigation system with timer and light to promote photosynthesis. The lights changed color and the irrigation system guaranteed a sensational effect. Another important change was the electric sliding roof that hid the steam oven, oven and micro, dishwasher washes quickly and the coffee machine is accessible from inside the kitchen from the snack area. All created to use all blocks of steel today, if necessary clean the next day to continue doing so any dinner party.
Another important aspect was the work plan welded with the lateral sides and the lower boundary to ensure a single block free of cuts and thus excluding all dirt infiltration. The induction hobs low energy mounted flush to always favor the quick cooking and easy cleaning. The hoods, over which seem chandeliers, are a new concept, filter the air of the room without the need to apply an outer pipe, with engines 600mq3 / h. Many concepts taken up and improved for “Aerodynamics”. Because creativity has no boundaries. Especially for Berni.
