VANMOOF presents the electric bike design, with GPS anti-theft … – HDblog (Blog)

bikes have now become a recurring subject, to new reworkings technology. The latest news comes from the Netherlands, a country traditionally linked to this means of locomotion. The product we are talking about is called VANMOOF 10 Electrified, a new type of electric bike . The weight is rather limited: we are talking about 19 kilograms, with a very interesting building and an endowment. care is already evident from the design, which, not surprisingly, has allowed 10 VANMOOF Electrified to win a Red Dot Design Award 2014 , the most important award for industrial design.

The frame is made of anodized aluminum, with integrated LED lights (technology-based Philips Luxeon), capable of issuing up to 40 lux. Despite the very minimalist, the bike incorporates a five-cell battery 209Wh , capable of powering a 250W motor. The management of the operation are in charge of appropriate sensors and an onboard computer , able to calculate the rider’s pedaling, by assisting with the electric motor.

The action is then adjusted according to the needs and gait set by the user, with a ‘ range between 30 and 60 km . The maximum speed can reach 29 km / h, while time for a full charge is about 3 hours (then rather quickly). The manufacturer claims that the pedal assistance can increase the lift capacity of up to 80%.

Electrified VANMOOF 10 also features a built-in GPS chip to be able to trace through a dedicated app for smartphones. The function is intended for cases of theft, so you can track your bike. On the upper side, finally, in the vicinity of the handlebar, there are indicators and buttons for adjusting the operation.

As always, for this kind of products, the price is the biggest obstacle: in this case, however, The cost does not seem excessive, given the list of 2,248 Euro .
