Rome will be overrun by drones. The event is scheduled for next weekend on 24 and 25 May, when it will stage the “Rome Drone Expo & Show,” the first “Air Show” on drones in Italy. The event will be attended by dozens of fixed and rotary-wing drones, including the largest and most sophisticated drone in service to our country: the Air Force will exhibit in fact a giant mock-up of the “Predator” (8m , wingspan 15 meters), which is currently in service with the 32 ° Stormo at Amendola (Foggia) and used in reconnaissance and surveillance. On the occasion of the “Rome Drone Expo & Show”, will also be called the first Scholarship in Italy on drones: the initiative of the Department of Engineering, University Roma Tre for the academic year 2013-14. In addition to the exhibition, the “Rome Drone Expo & Show” also includes the stand of forty institutions and companies. Saturday 24 will also feature a stand of the Italian Post Office, with a special cancellation stamp on the event.
