Iron Man, the U.S. military plans the suit that turns men into robots - The Messenger

may become fluid and steel (or almost) thanks to a magnetic field: you are wearing and you become indestructible, just like the Iron Man of the film. The protagonist, this time, will not be Robert Downey Jr . but American soldiers. They renamed Talos, Light Operator Tactical Assault Suit , an exoskeleton that is worn equipped with the most sophisticated technology, a suit in layers formed by smart materials equipped with sensors.

The evolution of smart clothing, from Google Glass all’iWatch, the smart watch of Apple. “The U.S. Army – says the Bcc – is working to develop a revolutionary smart armor that would give his troops a orza superhuman.” An Iron Man, an exoskeleton that allows soldiers, among other things, to carry large loads.

The suit should be equipped with sensors to monitor the body temperature , the frequency heart rate and levels of hydration. L ‘exoskeleton would use hydraulics to greatly increase the strength. “The dress with the combat armor should be complete with display for power control, health monitoring, and the integration of a weapon,” said Lt. Col. Karl Börjes , consultant Scientific American army at the command of development and engineering.

E ‘armor advanced, integrated communication systems , with sensors, circuits in miniature” has added. It seems that the U.S. military is asking for research organizations and private development, government laboratories and academia to support the project. According to the U.S. Army scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology would be involved in the design.

Just a team of scientists at MIT is developing liquid armor , with fluids that are transformed into a solid when it is applied a magnetic field or electrical current. The MIT professor Gareth McKinley compared the futuristic armor with that seen in the Hollywood film, “It looks exactly like Iron Man,” he said making a comparison with other historical film “similar to the robotic holder one used by Sigourney Weaver in the movie Alien “able to move hundreds of kilograms of weight. Talos should take life of three years.
