The application is available for iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Symbian and can also be used via browser directly on the web. It contains features that competitors do not have: in addition to instant messaging capabilities provides for the sending of voice messages, group chat up to 40 users, and some features such as geo “Shake and Search” to contact people in the vicinity. In addition to being widespread in China, has established itself even outside the national borders becoming the most downloaded app in other countries, including Italy, Spain, Turkey, Argentina, Chile and South Africa, surpassing the 70milioni of users.
Tencent Holding Limited, for its part, is experiencing significant economic results: the first quarter of 2013 closed with a turnover of 2miliardi 161milioni dollars, an increase of 40.4% compared to the first quarter of 2012. Gross profit is instead increased by 30.7% year on year to 1.211 billion.
