Google rewards ecological ideas - ANSA.it

Into ROME – Ideas and Projects “to change the world.” With this motto the Google Science Fair awards for three years budding scientists, boys aged 13 to 18 who were known for innovative proposals and often very useful in everyday life.

And among those who have won the jury of the Science Fair project Makosinski Ann, Canadian who won in the category 15-16 years, thanks to his flashlight powered only by the heat of the hand that holds it. She won a scholarship of 25 thousand dollars and will visit CERN, Lego or Google.

Among the protagonists of this year there is also Elif Bilgin, 16, Turkish has invented a type of plastic made with banana peels and took home the prize Science in Action, which amounts to 50 thousand dollars.

For all other finalists who had spent the selection of the 90 regional winners , among which there were four guys Italian, no money but consolation prizes.

Including an Android tablet, a Google Chromebook computer, a box of lego custom magazines and subscriptions to the two sponsors of the award. It is already possible to apply to participate in next year’s edition.
