The scorching heat has not stopped the 16 professionals who, during the day, joined us to hear what we had to talk about the second edition of the festival ICT . The reason is simple: the festival ICT is now positioned strongly as an event “different”, originally built without emulating anyone but seizing and applying all the improvements possible compared to other Italian events, assured of the fact that – as explained by Andrea Sandrolini, Roberto and Federico Motta Lagni (Co-Founders of the event) during the press conference – “the ICT market strongly needed a new point of reference in a position to ensure quality of content and ability to develop business relationships.”

To say the least dramatic intervention in videoconferencing Umberto Rapetto , former Commander of the Anti-Crime Technology Group of the Guardia di Finanza, a professional of the highest caliber particularly expert in Security, Privacy and Data Protection . Dr. Rapetto, saw his oggettivaed indisputable knowledge, announced to those present that will have a key and active role in the festival ICT, speaking with some of that speech – his reputation leaves us little doubt – will have a very high degree of interest.

Dr. Rapetto stressed that the culture could have avoided (and may even prevent) a lot of compromise of computer systems, data theft, and many other offenses in this area. That’s why – says the same Rapetto – “I think it is important to participate in an event such as the festival that ICT has a strong vocation for the content and objective, training and dissemination.” The former Commander of the GAT then concluded waving and pointing out that the present data protection, in all its forms, does not represent a topic independently and in itself but is an activity that will involve more and more highly cross-technology objects (Internet of Things) and that, therefore, deserves more attention.

In addition to the presence of ICT Rapetto at the festival in 2014, among other innovations coupled with the fact that the 2014 edition will see the presence of an octave room dedicated entirely to Privacy, was announced the news on the Arena, physics area set up with tables and chairs in which to create a fertile ground for the exchange of information, ideas and experiences. The Arena will host communities ICT Users Groups, a network of professionals and everything that will help make the area even more attractive.

Besides, the supercie total of the event will increase by 1600 m² of last year to 2.500 square meters this year. This hides a strong expectation for the organizers: to increase the number of sponsors and the number of participants maintaining high quality because, as commented by Frederick Lagni during the conference, “the amount if disconnected from the quality is useless.” Another new feature announced was a different way to interview the sponsors, more attractive and original in comparison to the traditional way of conducting an interview, in line with the thinking outside the box of the management of the festival ICT. “Dicult express themselves more time, but we are confident that this new, once fully revealed and implementation, will be particularly appreciated,” said Roberto Motta.

The festival ICT, in short, for this also ensures ‘year a success which, remember, “it is also possible thanks to companies like brave Hosting Solutions, TWT, A10 Networks and Enter that not only appreciate it, on paper, the new ideas, but support them believing, proving to be really innovative,” he Federico concluded Lagni.
