Among the first companies to equip employees smartphone for access on the move to the “Mobile workplace”

Goodbye desk, pen and keyboard. Even the workplace changes and evolves, indeed dissolves, and the work becomes accessible, thanks to the latest technology, anywhere, anytime. It is the so-called ‘Mobile workplace’, the mobile workplace. Among the first companies in Italy to experience the innovative mode is Yoox Group, the Internet retail giant for leading fashion and design, has always been a leader in mobile commerce. Yooxcity is a further stage of the journey towards the smart working already undertaken by the Group with the launch of other initiatives such as teleworking.

Thanks to the cooperation with Vodafone Italy, Yoox has provided to all its employees smartphone of the latest generation not only for calls and surf in complete freedom, but to take advantage of all business services in mobility. Yooxcity will be a true mobile city, which will house the brand new smartphone business and ensure maximum connectivity, flexibility and efficiency to all employees wherever they are, and will be, says the company, as have Yoox pocket.

With Yooxcity will be possible, in fact, not only access to the internal messaging system, do video conferencing anywhere, manage their corporate travel, but also to stay informed in real time on company news and access `in movimento’ and independently in numerous business services. The project which will start in the Italian offices will also provide for the development of initiatives that will see the use of NFC (Near Field Communication), thanks to which employees Yoox can use your smartphone as Yooxcity mat for many activities, such as the access control.

Just for having believed and invested in the mobile channel since 2006, with the creation of a first internal taskforce dedicated to this area, Yoox is now considered one of the pioneers of mobile commerce: first with the launch of ‘ app for iPhone yoox.com in 2009, and later with the iPad, presented in conjunction with the official launch of the device in the United States in 2010.
