Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 6, part of Lake Como School of Advanced Studies, the Como Alessandro Volta Foundation, in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts Aldo Galli IED Como, proposes a new open to the public meeting science, innovation and technology.
at 18, at the Academy of Fine Arts Aldo Galli Como IED will host the conference “science of the new: play, creativity and innovation”, with Vittorio Loreto, Professor of physics of complex systems at the University of Rome Sapienza and Research leading to the ISI Foundation in Turin.
We all experience the new. The novelties are part of our daily lives. Meet new people, learn and use new words, listen to a new song, see a movie or adopt a new technology.
The innovations are key factors in the evolution of human society, as they represent the main engine to explore new solutions in unpredictable environments and evolving. New technological artifacts, new scientific discoveries, new social and cultural structures, are often stimulated by mutations of the external conditions. Historically, the notion of the “new” has always been a challenge for humanity.
What is new often defies the natural tendency of humans to control and predict future events. Yet, most of the decisions we make are based on our expectations for the future. From this point of view a thorough investigation and a thorough understanding of the mechanisms by which new products and innovations emerge, spread, compete and assert themselves is crucial for progress in all areas of human activity.
this Vittorio Loreto conference will present an overview of recent approaches to the science of combining new theories and data from one side and, on the other hand, the possibility of using the games as a tool for studying the mechanisms of creativity, innovation and learning.
