Fallout 4 – The six secrets of Fallout 4 – Multiplayer.it

Fallout 4 is one of the most anticipated titles of 2015 and last week we were able to go to QuakeCon to see and hear a preview of some of the innovations that will characterize this new episode of ‘era Bethesda, one of the most successful sagas of the past decade between PC and console. Talking to the guys and with Pete Hines, we managed to find a bit ‘of things you probably still do not know or that he had never spoken before. Of course, we are here to tell you about!

How does the skill system and really perk for Fallout 4 compared to Fallout 3?

 
 The skills of the protagonist of Fallout 4 are still divided along the letters of the acronym SPECIAL, where S stands for Strength, for example, or force. For each letter corresponds visually a column along which, for each row, there are ten different kinds of abilities. With each level up you can activate a skill gradually along different columns, starting with those of the first lines and coming up to the tenth. To unlock, for example, the ability on the fifth line of the first column must have unlocked the previous four. Every single skill / perk then more power levels / percentage that are unlocked by spending points earned by leveling up, but always on the same skills. To unlock a skill on a lower line of the same column, never mind bringing a perk at the highest level, simply releasing it to the base level. The fact of a skill that opens on the fifth line of the first column, for example, does not enable one to unlock the same line, but along another column. The columns are then parallel and independent.

 The part of the game before the atomic explosion is about the same as we will see in the final game, except for a few surprises. There will be additional quests or missions, is just a way to define their character and to clarify the family relationship between husband, wife and child in the game.

Why not It used the Tech 6 of id Software for Fallout 4?

 
 The most difficult to program for a Bethesda game is the extreme realism of each scene and the enormous possibilities of interaction that are given to the player. When you enter a room, for example, each object is governed by the laws of physics and these react, not just a series of polygons with textures applied. Entering a room and throwing a bomb, objects are thrown all over and it is difficult to anticipate all the possible issues or areas where unreachable objects central to a quest might end. These possibilities are why it is also fun to play with, are the heart of the experience. Therefore it was not possible to use the Tech 6 as some had speculated. The six secrets of Fallout 4 Doom, for example, has such interactive elements but are not the focus of the experience. In Fallout 4 there are hundreds of thousands of objects with which you can interact. Mr. Handy (the multi robot arms), for example, can be damaged, and inside there is only a texture to represent chips and circuits, but there are whole parts reproduced with polygons interactive, reacting to commands from the player. Here the theme is different because the world is what it is, the destruction of the planet is regarded as normal and there is no attempt to get back to what was there before.
