The sector of tourism? You create shared. Me Right Guide is the online community that allows its users to track “authentic experiences” in the Italian town thanks to the proposals for an internal network of experts (local friend). Launched in 2014 by a group of three founders, the startup has grown to 15 thousand subscribers and 1,600 experiences offered by 650 users in 500 Italian destinations. The operation is similar to an interactive guide: the user just type a national destination for access to a range of proposals ranging from wine tastings to photography courses. The price can be agreed on or calculated automatically based on the proponent feedback, with a 20% commission that is the source of the startup gain.
The first transactions are started just last year, with the conclusion of more than 800 experiences. The turnover is still low (5 thousand euro), but the project is to reach other numbers in the wake of new applications. Luca Sini, one of the three founders of the company, he anticipates some: “In recent weeks we are focusing on the quality of our offer so that we can deliver a” premium “section of our experiences also through tour operators such as tour operators and travel agencies “he says, announcing that” there will be more news »to strengthen the service.
Guide Me Right has collected to date a total of 250 thousand euro with prizes and grants of national and European level, the Startup voucher sponsored by Sardegna Ricerche to winning in London the call Urban life & amp; Mobility promoted by EIT ICT Labs. Not counting the business angel interessamenti and selection in a European accelerator program, Flware. The next stop is a funding round, which began with the investment of a Sardinian base and supplemented by notices promoted on a regional scale in the same island. There are not yet known all the details, but Sini says that the startup is already “in touch with a number of funds and / or investment groups more or less institutionalized to close the round.” The investments will be aimed at the same target so far set: consolidation in the Italian market and technological development. “We undertook various tests, focusing on Sardinia and Lombardy – says Sini – Today we are ready to launch a marketing campaign that makes us better know throughout Italy but especially to tourists who decide to visit our country.”
